Delivering complementary therapies in a statutory setting - second date
Despite the closure of FIH this course will continue as an event organised and run by Angie Buxton-King. If you have already booked, she will be writing to you shortly.
Led by Angie Buxton-King, this course is suitable for those wishing to work as therapists within a statutory setting or for those who wish to have a better understanding of what is required of therapists within a hospital setting.
An overview of some of the material the course will cover:
- How to prepare, approach and present yourself to hospitals successfully
- How to describe CT to conventional medics and nursing staff
- What language can we as therapists usefully use?
- Simple Anatomy
- Working with seriously ill adults and children within a hospital setting
- Infection Control
- Practical sessions on how to adapt your therapy within a hospital setting.
- Working successfully within a multi disciplined team
- The importance of VSR and clinical supervision
