The Women's Service
An acute mental health service which is based in a house not a traditional hospital setting.
This unique service caters for women going through an acute mental health crisis. Women can refer themselves directly to the service, or be referred by doctors. Once inside, although nurses are on hand as support, life is informal and more like being in a shared house than hospitalisation. Therapies on offer include an art room, complementary therapies, group work and access to a beautiful garden.
