The Health Professions Council recommends statutory regulation of three complementary healthcare professions.
A steering group set up by the Department of Health has recommended that the Healthcare Professions Council should regulate medical herbalists, acupuncturists and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. The Health Professions Council has now discussed this report and has recommended statutory regulation to Ben Bradshaw, the Secretary of State for Health.
Please email the Health Professions Council's Policy and Standards department if you would like further information on this development.
